During my time on the team, I’ve created a range of UI assets for the journal, set design, characters and props. The overall intention of the game (to be released) is an exploratory and fun experience whilst still being educational about disability access and awareness.

Here are some of the highlights of the work I did for FDAAF.

Journal

The visual style of the journal was meant to feel handmade and rustic. I collaborated with the Lead Game Designer Alabhya Maheshwar on designing the overall aesthetic. I approached the assets with different materials such as rock, wood and paper. As well, as an earthy color palette and graphic shapes. I also worked with Programmer Logan Cundiff, we discussed features, layouts, technical restrictions, brainstormed on design and he provided feedback on prototypes.

Environment Design

I got the opportunity to design Area 1. The location in which the prototype will take place. The game takes place in the medieval era. I conceited various ideas of what the environment could look like with different levels of stylization and painting styles. I collaborated with 3D modelers Noah Gomez and Mariana Lobeto on the creation of props and buildings. I created 2D guides breaking down structure and ornamentation.
